Since the start in 2016 the programme has had five calls for proposals and three direct award procedures. The financial support has been granted by subsidy contract to 55 co-operation projects.
Among them,
- 29 SME cooperation and entrepreneurship,
- 7 heritage tourism,
- 6 environmental awareness-raising,
- 6 joint water management,
- 1 harmonization of geodetic reference system and
- 2 labour commuting projects.
In addition to the previously named, the programme has funded four large scale projects - "Valga-Valka centre", "Valga-Valka recreational area", "ESTLAT harbours" and "EASTBALTIC HARBOURS".

The programme supports projects with 36.27 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund. The funding is allocated for co-operation in following priority areas and specific objectives:
Active and attractive business environment (~ 8.98 million euros)
Specific Objectives:
1.1. Increased entrepreneurial cross-border cooperation in the programme area.
1.2. More jointly developed products and services in the programme area.
Clean and valued living environment (~ 14.69 million euros)
Specific Objectives:
2.1. More diversified and sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage.
2.2. Increased awareness of energy-saving, sorting waste and re-use, and the more efficient management of common water resources.
2.3. More integrated Valga-Valka central urban area.
2.4. More harmonized geodetic reference systems.
A better network of harbours (~ 12.00 million euros)
Specific Objective:
3.1. An improved network of small harbours with good levels of service.
Integrated labour market (~ 0.6 million euros)
Specific Objective:
4.1. Improved conditions for accessing jobs across the border.
