The Interreg VI-A Estonia-Latvia programme 2021-2027 was adopted by the European Commission on 30 November 2022.
The first call for project proposals is open from 7 November 2022 until 15 February 2023 (Jems closes at 14.00).
In total 24 million euros support (ERDF) is available.
Project proposals can be submitted under four priorities:
• Priority 1: BETTER GOVERNANCE - More cooperating cross border regions and development of joint services
• Priority 2: SMARTER EUROPE - Jointly and smartly growing businesses
• Priority 3: GREENER EUROPE - Sustainable and resilient programme area
• PRIORITY 4: MORE SOCIAL EUROPE - More accessible and sustainable cross-border tourism experience

The Interreg Programme 2021-2027
Here is the summary of the process of the programming of the 2021-2027 programme.
The draft document of the Interreg VI-A Estonia-Latvia programme 2021-2027, approved by the Joint Programming Committee (JPC) on 29 October 2021, was published for reading and commenting by the organisations, stakeholders and other interested parties from 8 November until 8 December 2021. The programme authorities discussed the received proposals and the programme document was updated to some extent in accordance with the proposals submitted during the public hearing and the negotiations between the Member States (Estonia and Latvia) and the European Commission. The JPC approved the updated draft document on 6 January 2022. The Estonian Government approved the draft programme on 3 February, the Latvian Government gave its approval on 8 March.
The programme was adopted by the European Commission on 30 November 2022.

Programme priorities and funds
The total amount of the ERDF for the projects will be 24 MEUR. The programme strategy is built around four priorities under four policy objectives outlined by the European Commission.
