Estonia-Latvia Programme together with Central Baltic Programme invite you to the international beach clean-up activity on the 19 September in Treimani (Estonia) and Ainaži (Latvia). The events of the day were organized in the framework of the European Cooperation Day 2015 celebrations and are meant for both young and adults!
After clean-up a treasure hunt with kick-bikes will start from Treimani and end in Ainaži. At the same time building of artistic sand sculptures with famous sand masters Inese Valtere (Latvia) and Henry Timusk (Estonia) will take place in Ainaži beach „Balta Saule“. The day will end with local soup and concert of Estonian multi-instrumentalist Silver Sepp. The moments of the day will be captured by Skyeye and Filmikohvik, with a possibility to pose in a thematic photobooth.
Free buses are organized from Tallinn, Tartu and Riga will get you to the event venue and back. All the activities of the day are free of charge, but needed registration before 15 September. All registered participants will get a surprise gift.

Joint Beach Clean-up is cross-border volunteer effort to help remove trash from the shores of the Baltic Sea. At the same day the beach cleaning takes place in Treimani (Estonia), Yyteri (Finland), Ainaži (Latvia), Oxelösund (Sweden) and Eckerö (Åland).
At the same time the Joint Beach Clean-up event is a part of something even bigger. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers around the world join to clean-up beaches on the very same day at the world’s biggest coastal clean-up, known as International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day. Last year, 500 000 volunteers picked up more than 8000 ton of trash from the coastlines and waterways around the world.
